Nature Park
What is a nature park?
A nature park is a protected landscape area that arose from the interaction of man and nature. “Protection through use” represents the philosophy and basis. The legal goal of the nature parks is therefore the protection of a landscape in connection with its use. Particularly valuable, formative cultural landscape areas are to be protected from destruction and developed.
The award (rating) of a rural region with the rating “nature park” is carried out by the respective state government. (IUCN protection category V)
