Multiplier nature conservation
Anchoring awareness-raising and nature conservation work in the nature and geopark
Selected areas in the nature and geopark are to be increasingly used in the coming years as an instrument for conveying knowledge about nature conservation and raising awareness. In this way, the local population and guests should better recognize and understand the potential of intensive biodiversity protection/preservation.
Furthermore, within the nature park management, the pillar of nature conservation is increasingly being built on. This requires a reorientation or an update of the nature park strategy.
Nature conservation work is also actively carried out as part of multiplier nature conservation. Targeted measures are being taken to preserve, maintain and protect the cultural landscape of meadow orchards.
An event in the form of a discussion forum should also help to promote and expand awareness of nature conservation. In the future, this event is intended to act as a platform for deepening and exchanging knowledge about nature conservation and to generate greater awareness of nature conservation issues.

First project results:
- The“Action Map” of the Steirische Eisenwurzen Nature and Geopark is intended to provide nature conservation orientation for the Steirische Eisenwurzen Nature and Geopark and to prioritize measures to be implemented in the next five years. (as of October 2020)
