Kraus Cave – GeoDorf Gams

With a length of 350 metres, the Kraus Cave in the Noth Gorge is a truly amazing place. What makes it so special is its countless small gypsum crystals and stalactites that sparkle in the light. One of the oldest show caves in Austria, the Kraus Cave is the largest gypsum-bearing cave in the German-speaking world. It is also the only show cave in Europe in which hydrogen sulphide has converted lime into gypsum.
